John is 44 years old and a father of five from Malawi. His oldest child will start university this year, his second child is in high school, while the younger ones are in grade school. John is a pastor at a church in his community. Six months ago, John was diagnosed with a left inguinal hernia. This causes him pain and discomfort and prevents him from performing his daily tasks. If left untreated may lead to serious incarceration and strangulation that may be fatal. Fortunately, on June 9th, John will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner's care center, Partners in Hope Medical Center. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $575 to fund John's surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. John said, "Kindly help me get better, as you have always been doing for many other needy patients. Your support will help me to concentrate on helping my family and ministry."

Hnin is a 31-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her husband in Phop Phra District, Tak Province, Thailand. Originally from Karen State, Burma, the family relocated to Thailand for better job opportunities. Hnin and her husband work as agricultural day labourers, but Hnin had to stop working in May 2025 due to health issues. In May 2025, Hnin began to experience troubling symptoms, including pain in her lower left abdomen. She was diagnosed with left kidney stones and was referred to our medical partner's care center, Mae Sot General Hospital. She was told she needed surgery to prevent her symptoms from getting worse. Currently, Hnin continues to suffer from pain in her lower left abdomen, a burning sensation during urination, and lower back pain when she walks for a long time. The back pain also makes it difficult for her to breathe, and she cannot sleep well at night due to the persistent pain. On March 12th, Hnin will undergo surgery with the help of our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund. She needs help raising $1,500 to fund her procedure and care. Hnin said, “Many thanks to the donors for helping me. Without your support, I would not access treatment, because I cannot afford it on my own. I truly wish for this organization that helps me to last forever, and for all the team members, including the donors, to have good health and happiness in the years ahead.”

Chanya is a 10-year-old girl from Cambodia. She lives in a rural area in Kampong Chhnang Province with her parents and brother. Both of her parents work in a garment factory to support their family. Chanya is currently attending school and enjoys studying mathematics. In her free time, she likes reading and helping her mother with household tasks. Two years ago, Chanya sustained a puncture injury to her foot after stepping on a nail. Over time, her right foot and ankle worsened, resulting in calf muscle loss and the foot becoming stuck pointing downward. This condition has led to persistent pain and significant difficulty walking, especially over long distances. Her condition has affected her ability to attend school regularly and participate in activities. On April 21st, Chanya will undergo a correction procedure at our medical partner's care center, Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre, which will cost $582, including surgery and post-op care. Surgeons from our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, will operate on her right foot to improve foot position and walking function. Chanya's mother shared, “After the surgery, I hope that my daughter will be able to walk normally again without pain. I hope she can move more freely, play like other children, and go to school without difficulty. Most importantly, I hope this treatment will improve her quality of life and bring back her confidence and happiness.”
