Daniel is a six-year-old boy from Malawi. He is the youngest of four children. His single mother is raising him following the loss of her husband. Daniel’s mother sells soap to support the family, while the eldest child does casual work in town to help provide for the family’s needs. For two years, Daniel has had a hydrocele, a condition that causes swelling and discomfort in a sensitive area of his body. Over time, the swelling increased and caused Daniel worsening discomfort, making it increasingly difficult for him to carry out his daily activities. Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help. On September 9th, Daniel will undergo hydrocele repair surgery. Daniel’s mother is hopeful that the surgery will relieve his discomfort, improve his daily activities, and allow him to live a healthier and more comfortable life. He needs help raising $627 to fund his surgery and care. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. Daniel's mother shared, "My child usually cries because of the pain. He does not look happy at all; kindly help me as we have waited for so long. This is my rare opportunity for my child to be supported."

Much is required of Sittie's mother, who works, raises her children, and carefully tries to manage her daughter's complicated health condition. Born with Hirschsprung's Disease, Sittie's condition prevents normal muscle contractions in the large intestine, causing her to experience complete or partial intestinal blockages. Uncomfortable and difficult to manage, the condition also carries the risk of life-threatening Hirschsprung-Associated Enterocolitis (HAEC), malnutrition, and other complications. The condition is especially dangerous, given the family's lack of reliable income and accessible healthcare. But with the help of our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines (WSFP), Sittie is scheduled to undergo surgery on October 22nd at Our Lady of Peace Hospital. Government insurance will cover a portion of the treatment cost, and WSFP is requesting an additional $1,123 to help fund Sittie's care and recovery. After treatment, Sittie will no longer experience the challenges of Hirschsprung's Disease, allowing her and her family to spend more time together and less time managing a chronic health condition. Berry is a 26-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her parents, husband, sister, and son in a refugee camp in Tak Province, Thailand. Berry is a homemaker. Her father and husband work in the camp. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, watching short videos on YouTube, and listening to songs on her phone. Berry is currently expecting her second child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section due to a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is helping Berry undergo a C-Section on September 10th at our medical partner's care center, Tha Song Yang Hospital. This procedure will cost $1500, and Berry needs your support. Berry said, “I know that I need to go through a C-section, but we cannot afford it. My husband and father’s income is just enough to cover daily expenses. When the time is near for giving birth, I cannot sleep at night thinking about where I can borrow money from.
