Ann is a farmer who lives with her husband in the Eastern region of Kenya. Ann practices subsistence farming with her husband and their four children are all grown and tending to their own families.

Ann underwent a mastectomy.
Ann’s surgery was successful. She had partial mastectomy where the cancerous lumps were excised. This reduces the chances of cancer metastasis as she is planned for further care including chemotherapy. Ann is grateful for the support offered and hopes to soon finish up with medication and be cancer-free.
Ann says, “Thank you for supporting my treatment. I am hopeful that soon I will be cancer-free.”
