Geoffrey is a motorcycle driver from Kenya. He is married and has three children.
In April, he slipped on his motorcycle and sustained a fracture of the tibia and fibula of his right leg. He is not able to walk without support.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner can help. On August 19, Geoffrey will undergo a fracture repair procedure, called an open reduction and internal fixation. This procedure will help him walk easily again and be able to go back to work. Now, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $998 to fund this procedure.
He says, “I am only praying God to touch Watsi team to support me. I hope to be well soon to go back and work to support my family that fully depends on me.”

Geoffrey underwent fracture repair surgery.
The surgical treatment was successful. Geoffrey had ORIF of the right tibia and recovered well postoperatively. He was able to walk with crutches by the time he was discharged. Once Geoffrey is fully recovered he will travel back to his home town in Uasin Gishu County and resume his work as a motorbike ride in order to fend for his family.
Geoffrey wore a big smile as our medical partner took his photos. His brother was very grateful and appeared quite relieved upon discharge of Geoffrey. “I am grateful to the program for the help they have offered my brother. Now he will recover and go back home without either of us worrying about being indebted to the hospital,” Geoffrey’s brother said.
