Erickson is a 10-year-old boy living in Haiti with his mother, three brothers, and one sister. Erickson’s father has migrated to the Dominican Republic to work in the cane fields, so he can send money back to his family.
Since birth, Erickson has experienced frequent fevers, general weakness, and palpitations. His perpetual symptoms have prevented him from attending school regularly or playing with other children. Erickson just recently discovered that his symptoms are caused by tetralogy of Fallot, a congenital heart disease that can be corrected with surgery. Upon learning this, Erickson sang a hymn thanking God and asking for healing.
This surgery for $1500 will improve blood flow to the lungs and, if successful, will require no additional surgery. Let’s help Erickson so he can attend school, play with other children, and gain a lasting healthiness that will surely improve his quality of life.
