Jesus is a 12-year-old student from Colombia. He is a calm boy, and like all children, can be mischievous at times, but overall is very easygoing. He enjoys video games and playing soccer. When he grows up, he wants to be a soccer player and play in the World Cup, just like Cristiano Ronaldo. Jesus has an inguinal hernia, a protrusion of abdominal contents through the inguinal canal. Surgery has been recommended to correct it and prevent possible future complications. This condition causes pain, which worsens with physical activity and may limit his movements. Fortunately, on July 28th, Jesus will undergo repair surgery, and our medical partner, Clinica Noel, is requesting $1,005 to fund Jesus's surgery. Once completed, this procedure should allow him to live more comfortably. Thu Ya is a 21-year-old man from Burma. He lives with his wife in Chomburi Province, Thailand. He is a day labourer at a metal factory, and his wife is a homemaker. His income is enough to cover their daily expenses, and sometimes he also sends some money to his mother who lives in Burma. In his free time, he likes to learn the Chinese language on his phone. On the 17th of July. 2026, on the way from his work to his apartment, Thu Ya was driving a motorbike and fell, breaking his left arm and leg. He cannot walk and is unable to use his left arm to hold things. He is in pain and was forced to stop working. With the help of our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, Thu Ya will undergo surgery to reset his fractured bones and ensure proper healing. The procedure is scheduled for August 28th and will cost $1,500. This procedure will help Thu Ya be free from pain and able to walk and grab things again. He will be able to go back to his work after he is fully recovered. Thu Ya said, "I am stressed as I am in debt due to my condition and cannot work since my accident until now. While I am waiting for treatment, I will learn more Chinese and hopefully one day I will work as a Chinese translator as my new job. I feel like I cannot do heavy work after this treatment, so I will not return to my previous work."

Rama is a 27-year-old day laborer from Cambodia. He is married and lives in Ratanakiri Province with his wife, who is also a day laborer. They have two children; a son in Grade 1 and a three-year-old child. In his free time, Rama enjoys caring for his children and growing vegetables around his home. Two years ago, Rama was involved in a motorcycle accident in Ratanakiri, which caused a fracture of his thighbone. Following the accident, he underwent surgery at a local hospital, where doctors fixed the fracture using a metal plate and screws. A year later, he developed a fistula and had one screw removed at Children's Surgical Centre. However, the remaining hardware has brought on persistent discharging sinus, along with pain and difficulty in walking. The symptoms have also made it difficult for him to continue working as a day laborer, impacting his ability to provide for his family. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On July 1st, Rama will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will help the wound heal properly, relieve pain, and improve his ability to walk. This will allow him to return to work and care for his family more comfortably. Rama and his family are able to contribute towards the cost of his treatment, but need help raising $303 more to fund the procedure. He said, “I am grateful to have this opportunity for treatment. I hope I can recover well, return to work, and spend time with my children without pain.”
