Peter is the second born in a family of three children. He is in 8th grade and is always at the top of his class. His parents used to work at a flower shop but lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, they are casual day laborers workers taking on work that comes their way, such as washing their neighbors’ clothes.
For over a month now, Peter has been having troubling symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Peter was diagnosed with an umbilical hernia. If not treated, Peter will continue to have pain and may have future health complications.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help. Peter is scheduled to undergo surgery on November 18th. He needs your help to raise $517 to fund this procedure.
Peter’s mother says, “My hope is that my son will be treated, and he can go on with his life and his education.”
