Meysom is a grandmother from Cambodia. She likes watching movies and going to the mosque. She has five children and twenty grandchildren.
Three years ago, Meysom developed a cataract in her left eye, causing her blurry vision and sensitivity to light. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere outside.
When Meysom learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, she traveled for ten hours seeking treatment. On January 8, doctors will perform a small incision cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in her left eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, she needs help to fund this $211 procedure.
Her daughter says, “I hope my mother can see clearly again.”
