Sofia is a 27-year-old mother of two from Uganda. She and her sibling were raised by her grandmother after their parents died when the children were still young. They unfortunately did not get to study much, with Sofia dropping out after Primary 3.
Presently, Sofia is married with two children. To make ends meet, she and her husband farm on their small piece of land, growing food crops for home consumption, and selling off the surplus to generate an income. During her free time, Sofia enjoys spending time with her family.
Sofia is currently expecting her third child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Sofia undergo a C-Section on July 2nd. This procedure will cost $252, and Sofia needs your support.
Sofia says, “Without your support, we are not able to afford this procedure. We have nothing at home that we can sell, so I humbly request for your help for a successful delivery.”
