Ndawo is a five-year-old boy from Tanzania. He is the fifth of sixth children. When Ndawo began to walk, his legs started to bend. His parents were concerned because his identical twin was not displaying the same symptoms. Now, Ndawo’s legs are so bent that he is in constant pain and he has difficulty walking long distances.
On November 22, Ndawo underwent corrective surgery with our medical partner. This procedure will prevent further bending or the development of early osteoarthritis.
In Ndawo’s village, it has not rained this year. For this reason, his parents have no crops, and they cannot afford their son’s treatment. They need help to raise $940.
“I am very grateful that you are able to help my child when I cannot,” says Ndawo’s father.
