Adalberti was born on February 26, 2010 in Tanzania. He is identical to his twin brother and he is the eldest. He is a tiny bit skinnier than his twin brother, but very energetic and loves to play even though running is a bit difficult for him. He enjoys kicking ball with his twin brother, playing with other children as well as pushing around an old tire.
Adalberti’s mother saw her son’s legs were abnormally bowing outwards when he was almost three years. With time the condition keeps getting worse. If not treated, Adalberti will be at risk of developing early osteoarthritis.
Adalberti’s mother is a casual laborer who mostly does some farm work. She separated with her husband a while back, and she is now taking care of her four children. All of them were going to school, but Adalberti who was in kindergarten stopped going because walking the long distance to school became a problem and he wouldn’t go if his twin brother won’t go. Adalberti’s mother needs financial support so that her son can get proper treatment.
$940 will fund the surgery and post-operative treatment Adalberti needs to fully recover from his genu varus (or “knock knees”). Let’s help make it possible!
