Meet Muhumuza, a 30-year-old father of two children in Uganda. He has recently separated from his wife, and his children are living with his mother. Muhumuza had to drop out of school due to lack of school funds. He often regrets that he did not have the opportunity to pursue more education.
About a year ago, Muhumuza developed a swelling in his left scrotal, which has been diagnosed as a hydrocele. He feels pain, mostly when straining, but recently, he also started to feel abdominal pain. The swelling has made him very uncomfortable, and he does not have much strength. If his condition remains untreated, Muhumuza will continue experiencing pain and discomfort.
For $185, we can fund the surgery that Muhumuza needs. A hydrocele repair is a simple incision and draining of the fluid to prevent further swelling. After surgery, he hopes to continue digging and planting to produce crops for his children and sell some for income.
