Tesfa is the first child of loving parents. They want nothing more than for their daughter to grow up normal and happy. Unfortunately, the first three months with their new baby have been spent desperately seeking healthcare.
Tesfa was born with hydrocephalus, a life-threatening condition that causes fluid to accumulate on the brain. At just three months old, Tesfa suffers with a dramatically swollen head, constant fatigue, and frequent seizures. If not corrected soon, Tesfa’s condition will continue to worsen, potentially causing permanent brain damage.
For Tesfa to develop normally, her doctors need to drain the excess fluid from her brain. Her parents cannot afford the procedure she needs, so Africa Mission Healthcare Foundation is seeking $800 to cover the cost of her treatment and give her the chance to grow up healthy.
