Benson is a 58-year-old farmer who farms along with his wife. Together, they have three children, only one of whom is still in school. Benson and his wife live in a three room house built of mud.
For the past three years, Benson has suffered from a left inguinal hernia, which causes him a great deal of pain, and makes it difficult for him to work.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is here to help Benson access the care that he needs. On July 5th, Benson will undergo hernia repair surgery at Rushoroza Hospital. African Mission Healthcare is requesting $170 to fund this procedure, which will enable Benson to work and to enjoy life, free from pain.
Benson says: “I pray that I may get well through surgery so that I may be able to once again take on my day-to-day duties and be able to develop my family further.”
