Rossette is a 35-year-old housewife from Uganda. Her husband works in a retail shop and supports his wife as she has not been able to find a job. During her free time, Rossette enjoys visiting her friends. Rossette is currently expecting her first child. She received antenatal care at Rushoroza Hospital, where her doctors recommended that she deliver via a Cesarean section because of breech presentation at term. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Rossette undergo a C-Section on March 1st. This procedure will cost $214 and Rossette needs your support. Rosette says, “I hope I will have a successful surgery with a positive outcome. After complete recovery, I will continue to search for a job. May God bless you.”

Min is a 43-year-old construction worker and father of ten from Cambodia. Min and his wife live in Koh Kong province near the Thai border with four of their ten children. The other children have moved out in search of jobs in nearby towns. While Min works in construction, his wife is busy taking care of their children. In his free time, Min enjoys watching Thai and Cambodian boxing and playing soccer in the village. On April 12th, Min was in a motorbike accident, causing an open fracture on his right forearm. He received treatment for the fracture at a provincial hospital, where the wound was dressed and closed. Unfortunately, the wound became infected. Now he experiences pain, swelling, and limited function in his arm. When Min learned about our medical partner Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), he traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On April 19th, surgeons at CSC will perform a debridement procedure to remove damaged and infected tissue from the wound. Now, Min needs help to fund this $324 procedure. Min shared, "I hope this will heal so I can return to work and support my family."

Caleb is the youngest of three children. His father is a farmer and a boda-boda rider who is working hard to provide for the entire family. Caleb's mother stays at home to take care of the children. Sometimes, she does the laundry of their neighbors in the village so she can help support her family. On April 9th, Caleb fell from a stool while playing with his siblings. He sustained an injury to his right arm. A nearby health facility gave Caleb medication for the pain and was referred to our medical partner's treatment center for further management. Caleb's x-ray showed a fracture in his upper right arm and needs surgery to facilitate its healing. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, will perform a closed reduction percutaneous pinning on Caleb's arm on April 12th and is requesting $679 for the procedure. Caleb’s father says, “My youngest son is currently suffering and is in pain. Please help my son as he has always been the joy of our family. School will start soon and we hope that he will have fully recovered so he can continue with his studies.”
