Catherine is a 19-year-old young woman from Uganda. Earlier in life, her education was cut short after Primary 6 due to her family’s financial constraints. Following this, she stayed home to support the family’s provision in subsistence farming.
Catherine got married last year, and currently resides in a two-roomed mud house with her husband, who is also a small-scale farmer. The couple are expecting their first baby. Catherine’s doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section, due to a high risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Catherine undergo a C-Section on February 16th. This procedure will cost $207, and Catherine needs your support.
Catherine says, “I am deeply grateful to God for His love and guidance, as I was unaware of the risk involved, since I had never had an obstetric scan before. Unfortunately, I am facing financial difficulties and am unable to cover my hospital bills. I humbly appeal for financial assistance to support my care. After recovering from the surgery, I will continue practicing farming to care for my family.”
