Denis is a 47-year-old father of three children from Uganda. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in public administration, but has yet to secure a job in this field. He currently works as a photographer to support his family. His wife is a small-scale farmer.
Denis developed a small, painless swelling on his occipital scalp that later started increasing in size. He did not notice it at first because it was painless until he went to cut his hair, and the barber notified him of the prominent swelling. It did not disturb him at that time, but it soon became painful. He is very worried about what could happen if it is not treated.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help. Denis traveled to our medical partner’s care center, Rushoroza Hospital, to receive treatment. On December 2nd, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Denis needs help to raise $145 to fund this procedure.
Denis says, “I have a feeling that the swelling could increase in size in the future and could get worse. After surgery, I will no longer have to worry about further expansion of the mass.”
