Adili is a four-year-old boy from Tanzania. He is the fifth born in a family of six children. His parents are farmers.
Adili was diagnosed with genu varus. His legs are bowed outward at the knees. This condition is typically caused by an excessive accumulation of fluoride in the bones, which often stems from contaminated drinking water. As a result, he feels pain and discomfort after walking for a while.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $940 to fund corrective surgery for Adili. The procedure is scheduled to take place on October 5. Treatment will hopefully restore Adili’s mobility, allow him to participate in a variety of activities, and greatly decrease his risk of future complications.
Adili’s father says, “We are really grateful for your support to our son. We have no means of treating him and his condition was getting worse every day. Thank you very much.”
