Phan is a 59-year-old housewife with one son, two daughters, and three grandchildren. She likes to watch comedy programs on TV in her free time.
Phan developed a cataract in each eye about two months ago, causing her blurred vision, irritation, cloudy lenses, and photophobia (extreme sensitivity to light). It is difficult for her to see things clearly, recognize faces, do her work around the home, and go places on her own.
She heard about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), from a neighbor. She traveled for one hour with her husband to reach CSC for treatment. At CSC, she learned she will need implants in each eye to help her see clearly. Her surgery is scheduled for March 13.
Phan and her family cannot afford this surgery. Therefore, CSC is requesting $292 to fund the surgery.
After her surgery, Phan will be able to see clearly!
