Hafisoh is a 29-year-old mother of two and a factory worker from Cambodia. She is married and lives with her family in Kratie Province. Her husband works in a garment factory, and together they have two children. Their eldest child is in Grade 2, and their youngest attends kindergarten. Because both parents work, the children stay with their grandmother during the day. In her free time, she enjoys caring for her children and doing household chores. On the 21st of March 2026, Hafisoh was involved in a traffic accident that caused a closed fracture of the right distal humerus (right elbow area). Initially, she sought treatment from a traditional Khmer healer and was treated with a bamboo sling, but her condition did not improve. The injury has caused severe pain and deformity in her right elbow, and she is now unable to move her arm properly. This has made it difficult for her to perform daily activities, care for her children, and continue working at the factory. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On May 11th, Hafisoh will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will stabilize the fracture, relieve pain, and restore movement in her arm. This treatment will help her regain function so she can return to work, care for her family, and resume her normal daily activities. She can contribute $37.50, but needs help raising $563 more to cover the cost of her procedure and care. Hafisoh said, “After the surgery, I hope that I will recover fully, regain movement in my arm, and be able to return to my daily activities and care for my family without pain.”

Mohammed is a playful and intelligent seven-year-old boy from Ethiopia. He loves playing football, running, and spending time with his friends. He is a first-grade student and the second child in his family. Mohammed has one older brother and two younger sisters. His father works as a daily laborer, while his mother is a housewife. The family lives in a rented house and faces financial challenges. Mohammed was born with hypospadias, a condition that causes urinary dysfunction. Without treatment, he will continue to experience uncomfortable symptoms and will be at risk of future complications. When Mohammed was about one year old, they took him to a nearby health center. After examining him, the doctor advised the family to return when he was older, explaining that surgery could be performed at a later age. The family returned home, but as Mohammed grew older, they became increasingly concerned that the condition could affect his future. Fortunately, Mohammed is scheduled to undergo corrective surgery on August 17th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,293 to cover the cost of his procedure and care. After surgery, he should be able to live more comfortably. Mohammed's father shared, "Thank you so much to everyone for listening to our concerns and responding to our needs. Daniel is a six-year-old boy from Malawi. He is the youngest of four children. His single mother is raising him following the loss of her husband. Daniel’s mother sells soap to support the family, while the eldest child does casual work in town to help provide for the family’s needs. For two years, Daniel has had a hydrocele, a condition that causes swelling and discomfort in a sensitive area of his body. Over time, the swelling increased and caused Daniel worsening discomfort, making it increasingly difficult for him to carry out his daily activities. Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help. On September 9th, Daniel will undergo hydrocele repair surgery. Daniel’s mother is hopeful that the surgery will relieve his discomfort, improve his daily activities, and allow him to live a healthier and more comfortable life. He needs help raising $627 to fund his surgery and care. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. Daniel's mother shared, "My child usually cries because of the pain. He does not look happy at all; kindly help me as we have waited for so long. This is my rare opportunity for my child to be supported."
