Dalin is a 12-year-old boy from a rural area in Cambodia near the border with Vietnam.
A few months ago, Dalin’s mother noticed he seemed lacking in energy and was not moving his head normally. Dalin started to complain of neck and shoulder pain, and he was unable to look upwards. At this point, he dropped out of the fourth grade.
Dalin traveled four hours with his mother to get to our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), where he was diagnosed with herniated discs in his spine. On September 4, surgeons will conduct the necessary operation on Dalin’s spine to relieve the pressure and reduce his pain.
CSC requests $930 to cover his medical treatment.
