Turyasingura is a 48-year-old farmer. She also sells clothing in the evenings when she is done with her farming.
For three years, Turyasingura has been experiencing lower abdominal pain and heavy bleeding. She has been diagnosed with uterine fibroids and needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare (AMH), is helping Turyasingura to receive treatment. On May 22nd, she will undergo gynecological surgery at AMH’s care center. Now, AMH is requesting $219 to fund Turyasingura’s surgery. Once recovered, she will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
Turyasingura shared, “my only hope is in you because I can’t support myself for this surgery. I hope that through your support, my health will be restored to continue with farming and business in the evening when am done with my activities at home.”

Turyasingura underwent a life-changing surgery.
Having been diagnosed with a cervical polyp, Turyasingura was successfully treated with a total abdominal hysterectomy. Thanks to her surgery, the previous symptoms of bleeding, backache and abdominal pain that she experienced are all gone–leaving her feeling so much better and relieved.
Turyasingura is very appreciative of her support, “I was totally unable to pay anything in addition to school fees for my children since their father is unable to. But now with your support, I will be able to raise it for them to study as I continue with farming and in the evening I can do even more business.”
