Srey Neath lives in a rural village with her parents and older brother. She works at a factory, while her dad and brother work at a nearby construction site. Her mom is a retired rice farmer. Srey Neath likes watching music videos and movies with her friends during her free time.
When she was 14 years old, Srey Neath was diagnosed with idiopathic scoliosis, causing her discomfort and pain. As her condition worsened, Srey Neath and her family traveled two hours to visit our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, in Phnom Penh.
On March 4th, Srey Neath will have corrective surgery for scoliosis. This procedure will alleviate her discomfort and align her spine correctly using metalwork. After surgery, Srey Neath will have an improved quality of life and be able to carry out her work at the factory more easily.
