Steven is a two-year-old boy from Tanzania. He loves being around other children.
Steven has clubfoot of his both feet. Clubfoot is a condition in which the foot is twisted out of shape. This causes difficulty walking and even wearing shoes. After several casting sessions at a local clinic, Steven and his family were referred to a regional hospital for further treatment. However, they did not have the money to pay for treatment.
Fortunately, Steven traveled to visit our medical partner’s care center, AIC Cure International Hospital. There, surgeons will perform clubfoot repair surgery on November 28. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $890 to fund Steven’s clubfoot repair. After treatment, he should be able to walk normally, engage fully with his friends, and start school.
Steven’s father says, “I am optimistic that my son will get the treatment and be able to walk normally. I cannot wait for him to start school.”
