“I really hope Watsi will help me to receive treatment so that I can start a kiosk (shop) for selling groceries that will give me more money,” Rosaline tells us.
41-year-old Rosaline is a single mother of twins from Kenya. Formerly, she sold groceries by the road to support her children, but has been unable to do so since her diagnosis of uterine fibroids.
“Since three years ago, Rosaline has been suffering from this condition,” says our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF). “The symptoms got worse in October 2014. Rosaline went to the doctor and she was diagnosed but has not received treatment due to lack of money to pay for the surgery.”
Fortunately, with a total abdominal hysterectomy, Rosaline will see pain relief and her bleeding will stop. The fibroids will not spread to other body organs, and her recovery will allow her to work and spend time with her children again. The surgery will cost $790. Let’s help make it happen!
