Bagirorwabusha is a 65-year-old woman from Uganda. She practices small-scale farming alongside her husband, although her husband recently had to retire from farming due to old age. They have four children, with their oldest child in their 40s and their youngest child in their late 20s. Through their hard work farming over the years, Bagirorwabusha and her husband are proud of the three-room home they’ve built to shelter their family.
A month ago, Bagirorwabusha began to experience an inguinal hernia that causes her severe pain and fatigue and prevents her from being able to work. Fortunately, on November 10th, Bagirorwabusha will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $170 to fund this procedure. Upon recovery, Bagirorwabusha will be able to live more comfortably and confidently because of this surgery.
Bagirorwabusha says, “My condition worries me a lot, and I feel uncomfortable most of the time. I pray that I may get well through surgery so that I may have peace of mind and continue to do my day-to-day duties for the further development of my family.”
