Moh is a 15-year-old student from Nu Po Refugee Camp, Thailand. She and her parents moved there three years ago from Karen State, Burma. Moh was born with a lump on her face. As she got older, the lump got bigger. Her parents never sought treatment for her because they could not afford to do so.
Moh dropped out of school this year to help with household chores. However, she would like to go back to school as she wants to be well educated. Her dream is to become a doctor someday.
Moh was referred to our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund (BCMF). She underwent surgery to repair the lump, but then she experienced vomiting and headaches. The doctors will be doing a CT scan on June 1 to check for any surgical complications.
BCMF is requesting $693 to fund the CT scan, three nights of hospital stay, and transportation.
