John is a 67-year-old man from Uganda. He and his wife have three children. John continues to work hard to provide for his family through small-scale farming.
For six years, John has had a reducible inguinal hernia. He has been experiencing persistent lower abdominal pain and a feeling of abdominal fullness. The condition has gradually worsened, affecting nearly every aspect of his daily life. Tasks that once seemed simple have become increasingly challenging.
Fortunately, John was referred to our medical partner’s care center, Rwibaale Hospital, where he will undergo hernia repair surgery on September 1st. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $234 to fund John’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
John says, “I hope to get rid of pain and build a new house so that I can better plan for my children after recovery.”
