Willy is a five-year-old boy from Tanzania. He is the youngest of three children, and his parents are farmers. The family lives in a village near our medical partner’s care center, The Plaster House.
Since Willy was three years old, his legs had been progressively bending. He was in constant pain, and he was not able to attend preschool. Without treatment, he risked permanent disability.
“I would like my child’s legs to straighten,” said his mother, “so that he will be able to walk better and more independently.”
Fortunately, on November 22, Willy underwent corrective surgery with our medical partner. This procedure will prevent further pain or bending in his legs. Now, his family needs help to fund this $940 treatment.
