Naangayok has a bone tumor on the left proximal part of his leg. It is a benign tumor, but if it goes untreated, he could potentially have to have his leg amputated. If the tumor were to become malignant, it could be fatal.
Naangayok lives in Tanzania. He is the third of five children and lives with his parents. His father works as a herder and his mother is a housewife. His father supports their entire immediate family and other relatives as well, so there is not much disposable income to cover the cost of the treatment Naangayok needs.
“I am worried that eventually I’ll lose my leg. I enjoy herding my father’s cattle and one day I wish to herd my own,” said Naangayok.
For $1,000, we can help Naangayok receive a wide excision of the tumor and fibula, which will allow him to live a normal, healthy life!
