Meet San, a 62-year-old woman from Cambodia. San loves gardening and spending time with her daughter and three granddaughters, but over the last several months her ability to do that has declined.
San’s vision began to blur about four months ago as a result of cataracts in both eyes. She is now partially blind and cannot work or take care of her household. “I am unhappy I cannot support my family,” says San.
To get the appropriate treatment for her cataracts, San needs a phacoemulsification, a $100 modern cataract surgery. This treatment will prevent San from becoming blind while also restoring her current eyesight.

San received phacoemulsification surgery to improve her eyesight and prevent blindness.
