Hope is a 64-year-old widow and mother of six children from Uganda. Her husband passed away 16 years ago, leaving her with the responsibility of raising and providing for their six children. She operates a small fresh-food business. During her free time, she enjoys listening to radio programmes and watching television, activities that help her remain informed and entertained.
Three years ago, Hope began to experience troubling symptoms, including abdominal pain. She was diagnosed with cholelithiasis, or gallstones. She needs surgery to prevent her symptoms from getting worse.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Hope receive treatment. On November 4th, she is scheduled to undergo gallbladder removal surgery that will address her symptoms and prevent future health complications. This procedure will cost $297, and Hope and her family need your support.
Hope says, “I am grateful that I finally found help at Rushoroza Hospital, but I am worried because I cannot afford the surgery I need. I appeal to the kind-hearted donors to support me during this difficult time. Your generosity will give me another chance to live without constant pain and return to my small business.”
