Matovu is a stonemason from Uganda. He is 42 years old and has seven children. His wife is a farmer.
For two years, Matovu has had a right inguinal hernia. The hernia causes Matovu to experience sharp pains and makes it difficult for him to work. If not treated, Matovu may experience hernia twisting and blocking. Fortunately, on November 15, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $249 to fund Matovu’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.
He says, “After surgery I will continue with job of building permanent houses. It is the one I can do best, and I love my job.”
