Sovann is a construction worker from Cambodia. He has one son and enjoys helping his wife with working at home.
Five months ago, he was in a motor vehicle accident that caused an open fracture in his left leg. He went to an emergency hospital and doctors gave him a bamboo splint to heal his fracture. However, he still experiences pain, swelling, and pus discharge from the open wound.
When Sovann learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On August 10, surgeons at CSC will perform a debridement procedure to to remove damaged and infected tissue from the wound. Now, Sovann needs help to fund this $262 procedure.
He says, “I hope after the operation, my wound heals and I can move without support from other people.”
