Jordan is a four-year-old boy from Uganda. Jordan is the only child of his parents. His parents separated when he was only a year old. His father is a teacher and his mother is a farmer. Jordan is in 1st grade and dreams of being a doctor in the future.
Since April this year, Jordan has had a hydrocele, which is a swelling in his genitalia. He often complains of pain and discomfort. Due to limited finances, his mother has never sought treatment for him, but when the symptoms persisted, he was brought to our medical partner’s care center, Karoli Lwanga Hospital. The surgeon reassured them that with a hydrocelectomy, surgery to repair or remove a hydrocele, he would be able to attain a complete recovery.
Fortunately, on December 10th, Jordan will undergo hydrocele repair surgery. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $146 to fund Jordan’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Jordan’s mother says, “My son is my only joy. He is the only reason I am living for and working so hard to see him progress and prosper in life. Seeing him in such a poor health state breaks my heart, yet being unable to do anything because I am incapable makes it bleed, for his health. I kindly request your support for the success of his surgery.”
