Meet Umesh, a playful 10-year-old boy from Nepal. Being from a very rural part of the country, Umesh is only now starting his first year of school. While heading to school with his friends one day, Umesh had an accident with a tractor, leaving a severe cut on his left leg. If the wound is left untreated, an infection could spread and Umesh would be at risk of having his leg amputated.
Umesh’s father runs a small tea and snack shop. He cannot afford treatment for his son on his earnings from the shop. For $1,045, Umesh will receive skin grafting and other treatments to heal the wound and prevent him from getting an infection. Let’s help Umesh get back to school and enjoy his childhood to the fullest!
