Judith is a 38-year-old mother of three from Uganda. Her husband is a trained teacher but currently without formal employment, while she works as a small-scale farmer.
Judith is currently expecting her fourth child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section due to a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. When Judith was informed about the recommended operation and the expected hospital costs, she became deeply concerned because the family’s limited income is already stretched by the needs of their young children and household expenses. Although she understands that the operation is important for her safety and that of her unborn baby, she worries about how to afford treatment.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Judith undergo a C-Section on September 1st. This procedure will cost $214, and Judith needs your support.
Judith says, “I have gone through CS deliveries before, and I understand how important it is to follow the doctors’s advice for my safety and that of my baby. However, my family has very limited income, and the needs of my young children already place a heavy burden on us. I humbly appeal to the donors to help me receive the operation I need. Your support will give me hope, protect my life and my baby’s life, and allow me to return home to the children who depend on me. May your kindness bring hope to my family when we need it most.”
