Kyomuhangi is a small scale farmer from Uganda. She is married and a mother of four children who are all still studying. Kyomuhangi as well as her husband are small scale farmers.
One year ago, Kyomuhangi has been experiencing with lower abdominal pain associated with vaginal discharges, severe backache with prolonged menses. She has been diagnosed with multiple uterine leiomyomas. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $208 to fund Kyomuhangi’s surgery. On October 03, she will undergo gynecological surgery at our medical partner’s care center. Once recovered, Kyomuhangi will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
Kyomuhangi says, “I am more optimistic to having a new life so that I can go on with cultivation after surgery but more so. I am hopeful for the best.”
