Say hello to Nasira, a ten-year-old girl from Ethiopia and the fourth of nine children.
“About seven months ago, Nasira was hit by a motorcycle while she was walking along the side of the road. She was brought to the hospital for damage to her leg and treated with an external fixator for six weeks. Still, she has yet to fully recover,” explains our medical partner, the African Mission Healthcare Foundation.
Upon examination, medical professionals noted that Nasira has a draining cavity and two pieces of dead bone in her leg. She is unable to walk and had to quit school four mouths ago, due to the infection.
For only $535, we can fund the removal of the infected portion of Nasira’s leg bone. After the completion of her treatment, she will be able to walk again and lead a normal life. “I hope to return to school as soon as I am able,” she tells us.
Let’s work together to help this young girl achieve her goal of becoming a doctor!
