Emmanuel is a 25-year-old man and the youngest in his family of seven children. Growing up, Emmanuel dreamed of completing his studies and becoming an engineer. However, he had to stop his education due to a lack of school fees and supplies. His hope was rekindled when a kind, compassionate man took Emmanuel in and supported his education so he could return to school. During his free time, Emmanuel enjoys playing football. He is hopeful about his recovery and looks forward to returning to campus, resuming his studies, and getting back on the football pitch.
About one year ago, Emmanuel began to experience troubling symptoms, including abdominal pain. Initially, the pain was mild and would subside after he received medication from various health centers. However, about a week ago, the pain returned with increased severity, preventing him from returning to campus. Despite visiting several medical facilities, Emmanuel did not receive adequate help and was eventually referred to our medical partner at Rushoroza Hospital.
At Rushoroza Hospital, several tests were conducted, and he was diagnosed with gut perforation. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Emmanuel receive treatment. This procedure costs $284, and Emmanuel needs your support.
Emmanuel says, “I could not have survived without the medical support you gave me. When I was told that I needed surgery to survive, I was extremely stressed, but God made a way. Thank you so much. I promise never to give up, and I will always help others whenever I am able.”
