Fred is a forty-nine-year-old man from Uganda. He has nine children, whom he supports through small-scale farming. Fred also has two cows, from which he sells milk to earn income to support his family. For two years, Fred has had a bilateral Inguinal Hernia. He has experienced intermittent swelling around the inguinal region. The condition has significantly affected his life. He is unable to walk long distances, and carrying heavy items has become difficult. He can no longer bend to work in his garden. Fred later came to our medical partner's care center, Rwibaale Health Center, for further intervention. After examination, the surgeon recommended herniorrhaphy. Fortunately, on January 27th, Fred will undergo hernia repair surgery. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $234 to fund Fred's surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. Fred says, "I am happy to be treated under your care. God bless you all and your families."

Tengeletu is a 53-year-old man from Malawi. He is married with four adult children and engages in subsistence farming together with his wife to support the family. To supplement their income, Tengeletu also works as a casual laborer, mainly by doing cleaning jobs. In May 2025, Tengeletu started experiencing a swelling in his inguinal region. He sought medical care, and was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia, a condition that occurs when abdominal tissue protrudes through a weak spot in the lower abdominal muscles, causing a bulge in the groin area. Since then, he has made multiple visits to the hospital in hope of undergoing surgical repair, but without success. During his most recent visit to the hospital in early March this year, he was referred to our medical partner's care center, Partners in Hope Medical Center, for further support. He is very hopeful that the surgical operation will restore his health, enabling him to resume his daily activities to earn a living and support his family. Fortunately, on April 9th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery with the help of our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare. Tengeletu is raising $575 to fund the procedure, which will allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. He says, "I am very worried about this condition, I am not ready to die. I hope you can provide treatment support for me too, just like others before me have benefitted."

Heziel is a 48-year-old security guard from Malawi. He is married with seven children, three of whom are married and three still in school. Since 2017, Heziel has been living with an epigastric hernia, experiencing persistent pain and intermittent swelling that worsens during coughing or strenuous activity. Over the years, he sought care from different hospitals without lasting improvement, and despite being scheduled for surgery, he faced repeated delays. His condition has since worsened to the point where he has had to stop reporting for work. Fortunately, on May 6th, Heziel will undergo hernia repair surgery with the help of our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare. He is raising $575 to fund the surgery, which will allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. "Reaching this far, you are my last hope; I have been hearing a lot about the donor program, and I think this is now my time to receive my healing. Kindly consider me," said Heziel.
