Hafisoh is a 29-year-old mother of two and a factory worker from Cambodia. She is married and lives with her family in Kratie Province. Her husband works in a garment factory, and together they have two children. Their eldest child is in Grade 2, and their youngest attends kindergarten. Because both parents work, the children stay with their grandmother during the day. In her free time, she enjoys caring for her children and doing household chores. On the 21st of March 2026, Hafisoh was involved in a traffic accident that caused a closed fracture of the right distal humerus (right elbow area). Initially, she sought treatment from a traditional Khmer healer and was treated with a bamboo sling, but her condition did not improve. The injury has caused severe pain and deformity in her right elbow, and she is now unable to move her arm properly. This has made it difficult for her to perform daily activities, care for her children, and continue working at the factory. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On May 11th, Hafisoh will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will stabilize the fracture, relieve pain, and restore movement in her arm. This treatment will help her regain function so she can return to work, care for her family, and resume her normal daily activities. She can contribute $37.50, but needs help raising $563 more to cover the cost of her procedure and care. Hafisoh said, “After the surgery, I hope that I will recover fully, regain movement in my arm, and be able to return to my daily activities and care for my family without pain.”

Thea is a 49-year-old food seller from Cambodia. He lives in Prey Veaeng Province with his wife, who is also a food seller. They have two children; their eldest works in a footwear factory, and their youngest is in the fourth grade. In his free time, he enjoys chatting with friends in his village. One week ago, Thea sustained a fracture on his left ankle after hitting a stone while riding a motorcycle. The injury caused severe pain, swelling, and an inability to bear weight on the affected leg. Since then, he has experienced significant difficulty walking and relies on crutches for mobility. The pain and stiffness in his left ankle have limited his ability to work and carry out daily activities independently. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On June 11th, Thea will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will stabilize the fracture and allow the ankle to heal properly. It is expected to reduce pain, improve mobility, and help him walk more easily and return to his daily activities. Thea can contribute $50, but needs help raising $550 more to fund his procedure and care. Thea stated, “After the surgery, I hope that my pain and stiffness will improve, and that I will be able to walk more easily without relying on crutches. I hope to regain my independence, perform my daily activities comfortably, and improve my quality of life.”

Much is required of Sittie's mother, who works, raises her children, and carefully tries to manage her daughter's complicated health condition. Born with Hirschsprung's Disease, Sittie's condition prevents normal muscle contractions in the large intestine, causing her to experience complete or partial intestinal blockages. Uncomfortable and difficult to manage, the condition also carries the risk of life-threatening Hirschsprung-Associated Enterocolitis (HAEC), malnutrition, and other complications. The condition is especially dangerous, given the family's lack of reliable income and accessible healthcare. But with the help of our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines (WSFP), Sittie is scheduled to undergo surgery on October 22nd at Our Lady of Peace Hospital. Government insurance will cover a portion of the treatment cost, and WSFP is requesting an additional $1,123 to help fund Sittie's care and recovery.
