Toeu is a farmer and his wife is weaver. Together they have one daughter. Besides farming, he also supplements his income by selling homemade meals to local factory workers during their break. In his free time, he goes on walks with his daughter and watches TV.
In February 2018, he was in a motor vehicle accident that caused a fracture of his right knee and his left tibia. After the accident, his wife brought him to a public hospital where doctors installed nails in his fractures. However, the fractures never healed properly, and he still experiences pain and difficulty walking.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On August rd, Toeu will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $230. This treatment will allow his legs to heal completely, so that he will be able to walk easily again.
Toeu shared, “I hope that the hardware surgery will go well, so I can go back to my field and continue to sell food again to support my family.”
