Stephen is a 58-year-old man from Kenya. He is single and lives in a house that belonged to his late mother. He earns a living as a casual laborer, primarily by cleaning toilets in local bars.
While crossing the road, Stephen was involved in an accident that resulted in a serious injury to his leg. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where first aid was administered. An X-ray revealed a closed fracture of the tibia.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner’s care center, Nazareth Hospital, can help. On June 11th, Stephen will undergo a fracture repair procedure, so he can be free of complications such as malunion, infection, and delayed healing, which could significantly affect his mobility and quality of life. Now, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,048 to fund this procedure.
Stephen shared, “Since I am alone and I do not want to burden my siblings, I will be so happy and grateful if I can be treated so that I can be able to work and support myself.”
