Felix is the second born in a family of three children from Kilome village in Kenya. His mother is a housewife while his father is a message-carrier in a company within Nairobi.
At the age of nine years, Felix’s mother noticed an unusual bending of legs in the same direction, which is called knocked knees. He visited CURE hospital last year and a surgery was done in March to straighten his left knee. Since then he has been coming for follow up and therapy sessions and has healed. Unfortunately, he now has difficulty in walking with his right foot which has not been corrected.
Felix is scheduled to undergo a surgery called right DFO to realign his bone so that that he can be able to walk properly without his knees knocking each other. He will also be able to walk for a long distance, play with his friends and more so, his self-esteem will improve.
“My desire is to see him walk well without any difficulty and be independent in life. Any kind of support will be highly appreciated” Jennifer, Felix’s mother told us.
