Muhindo is a farmer from Uganda. She is married and a mother of six children. Her husband is a retired primary school teacher.
For several years, Muhindo has had an incisional hernia. She is in pain and discomfort. If not treated, the hernia may result in intestinal tissue damage. Fortunately, on April 11, she will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $249 to fund Muhindo’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow her to live more comfortably.
She says, “After surgery I will resume my farming and I will have peace of mind.’’

Muhindo underwent hernia repair surgery.
Her hernia treatment was successful. She will no longer experience pain and will have improved quality of life. She is no longer at risk of the hernia twisting or blocking.
