Christopher is a one-year-old infant from Haiti, deeply loved by his single mother. Christopher was diagnosed with hydrocephalus, a condition where excess cerebrospinal fluid builds up in the brain, causing increased pressure. This has led to a rapid increase in Christopher's head size, and, without urgent treatment, he faces the risk of severe physical and developmental delays. Our medical partner, Project Medishare, is requesting $897 to cover the cost of surgery for Christopher at Hospital Bernard Mevs, the only site in the country where this care is available. The procedure, scheduled for August 27th, will drain the excess fluid from his brain, relieving the intracranial pressure and significantly improving his quality of life. With proper treatment, Christopher will hopefully develop into a strong, healthy young boy. Christopher's mother shared, " I look forward to seeing Christopher thrive and live a healthy, happy life."

Kreusna is a two-year-old toddler from rural Kampong Thom province in Cambodia. He lives with his parents, older brother, and grandmother. His father works as a rice farmer, while his mother is a home maker. Kreusna has been living with a persistent weakness in his right hand since birth, a result of a nerve injury that occurred during his delivery. This condition has made it difficult for Kreusna to lift or to grasp objects. He was diagnosed with a brachial plexus injury, a condition that affects the nerve network that transmits signals from the spine to the shoulder, arm, and hand. Kreusna traveled to Kien Khleang National Rehabilitation Centre to receive treatment, the only center in Cambodia where this treatment is available. On July 9th, he will undergo a brachial plexus repair surgery, which will improve his arm function. Kreusna and his family are able to contribute $100 towards the cost of his treatment and need help raising $609 more to fund the procedure. Kreusna's father says: "I hope that Kreusna will be able to use his arm and play more freely with his brother and friends.

Narith is a 31-year-old grocery seller from Cambodia. He lives in Kandal province with his elderly parents, one younger sister, and his niece. Narith works with his parents in their home grocery store, while his sister is employed at a private company. In his free time, Narith enjoys listening to music. Around two weeks ago, Narith's mother discovered a growing lump in his right shoulder. The lump has irregular borders, is movable, and feels uncomfortable. It is painful when he has to carry bags or boxes on that shoulder. He is concerned that the lump may grow bigger if not removed, potentially interfering with his normal activities. Narith traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On August 2nd, surgeons at Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), will remove the mass. Narith has contributed $50 towards his medical costs but needs help raising the remaining $223 in funds. Narith said: "I hope the lump is removed and it will not return."
