Muhumuza is a 29-year-old farmer from Uganda. He is married and has four children, who are all in school.
Muhumuza developed a swelling in his groin when he was 14 years old, and by the time he was 20, the swelling had extended into his scrotum and he started feeling considerable pain. Due to the pain he is unable to lift heavy objects and has lost his appetite.
Muhumuza was advised to visit our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, for treatment. If not treated, Muhumuza may suffer intestinal tissue damage or even death.
On May 17, Muhumuza will undergo hernia repair surgery. He is requesting $249 to cover the total cost of his procedure.
Muhumuza says, “I have a hernia. After surgery I hope to continue farming in order to earn money for my children’s education.”
