Nyanduru is a 49-year-old father of six children. He is a businessman who trades in men’s clothing. Nyanduru spends most of his income on his children’s education.
Two years ago, Nyanduru developed a painful swelling in his groin. The pain prevented him from standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy items. Nyanduru was diagnosed with a right inguinal hernia, but he could not afford treatment. Nyanduru’s brother, a former Watsi patient, recommended that he visit our medical partner’s care center, Holy Family Virika Hospital.
“I am unable to do my work well because of pain. I am requesting for help,” shares Nyanduru.
Nyanduru is scheduled for hernia repair surgery on January 4. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $249 to fund this procedure. After surgery, Nyanduru hopes to continue with his trading business to support his family.
