Chamroeun is a factory worker from Cambodia. He has four sisters and two brothers. He likes to help his mother with work around the house.
One month ago, Chamroeun was in a motor vehicle accident that caused a fracture in his left radius bone. It is difficult for him to complete his work, and he is in chronic pain.
Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, can help. On May 2, Chamroeun will undergo a fracture repair procedure, which will cost $430. This procedure will help him use his hand and arm easily again.
He says, “I hope after the operation I can use my hand again and return to work.”

Chamroeun underwent fracture repair surgery.
Chamroeun’s surgery went well and he’s been working with the physiotherapy team to improve the mobility and function in his arm. Surgery will allow Chamroeun to greatly improve his quality of life and allow him to work without pain.
His mother says, “I am very happy with the results of my son’s surgery. He can bend his arm and use his hand again.”
